Waylon's 5th Birthday: Yoshi Party

Both of my boys love Mario and they have their favorite characters. For Waylon's 5th birthday he wanted a Yoshi party. I loved all the inspiration and was able to use so much of that, with the main focus being on Yoshi. The menu was the most fun to create, there are so many good ideas on Pinterest.

I found this invite on Etsy and was able to customize it myself.

The menu consisted of: fire power cheese balls, marshmallow Yoshi eggs, piranha plant fruit, star power pb&j sandwiches, Princess Peach rings, fire flower veggie plate, and chicken salad for the adults.

I covered a vase in green construction paper to make a tunnel to hold the "piranha plants."

Yoshi punch: green berry Hawaiian punch and a 2 liter sprite. You can also add lime sorbet but I couldn't find any at my local stores.

For the activities: we played pin the mustache on Mario

And hid "Yoshi eggs" (which were just Easter eggs) in the backyard filled with gold coins.

I made these goody bags for each kid and they also used these to collect eggs during the Yoshi egg hunt.

I decorated the bags with green/white yarn and also used gold star tinsel.

I made the Yoshi head using the Bazaart app.

We had a great time celebrating our big 5 year old!
